Old town Carpentersville Music Festival ’09

The Band Pavilion in Carpenters Park will once again be filled with Musicians for two full days along with other attractions such as a Car show, Food Tents, a Beer Garden,  Kid Zone and a Business Expo. This is a celebration that hasn’t been seen here in Carpentersville for at least a decade. That’s when Cardunal  Jamboree Days was our annual Festival here in Carpentersville.

This Year thanks to the efforts of Sargon Productions, NASA Education Corporation along with co-operation from Local Carpentersville VFW post 5915 .

We have an opportunity to enjoy a weekend of  watching a variety of Performers, checking out local Food Vendors and other activities.

Sargon is a large promoter of such events with technology never seen here at a Festival.

Hopefully the Rain will leave Us alone.

  2. The worst summer event iv been to. The so called beer garden was near the street away from stage couldn’t see anything from there. felt like in jail with a $5 beer. Set up of stage was cool but bands were weak no wonder they played for free. And no the weather did not play a role in the attendence everyone came seen how bad it was and left. Joke event wish I saved my $. Never again!

      Get Real,

The Beer garden and Deck had to be on the right of way because there is no alcohol allowed in the Park. They eliminated this problem buy putting up that huge screen and directed it at the Beer garden so all of us could see I thought it worked rather well.

I only paid $4.00 a ticket for Beers not Great, but acceptable as was the entertainment. there could of been better Bands but then we would have to pay for it.

One thing I thought was lacking was “Signage” It was difficult to identify the Food Vendors and the other tents that were up.

All around I give Sargon a thumbs up on there first Carpentersville Music festival they put up a great effort for this event and I’m sure that it was appreciated by most who attended.

I don’t know what fest “Get Real” attended but my family went to the Carpentersville Music Fest in Carpenter Park. The Beer tent was on Carpenter Blvd with a beautiful Beer deck. Music was seen on Jumbo-trons. We loved the fest and hope its put on again next year. Cville needed this boost and now that the word is out I bet attendence next year will be huge!

    • Susan, I agree. My family and friends enjoyed the event and we definetely need more of these get togethers in Carpentersville.

I shared a few suds with Richard and others, but the beer tent should have at least a good view of the bands. The beer tent was probably the only real money-maker for the event.

Hopefully, the new Park Committee will stage a larger event next year [Jamboree Days!] and will also move the Fireworks display, food tents, beer tent, Carnival and other children’s activities all to Carpenter Park for the Fourth of July. Jamboree Days does need several well-known bands to boost attendance.

It seems to me that the present Village Board is in agreement that more has to be done to attract more events like this.
